Windmill Installation, Winter Harbor ME

We installed a Bergey 10kw Windmill in Winter Harbor today. There were weeks of prep that went into this but today, when we stood up the tower, was the big day!

John climbed the tower to unhook the crane. ugh! He used 2 harness systems and returned to the ground safely

Teaching Nellie Bad Habits

Field of Red

We said farewell to Grammie Sophie yesterday and spread her ashes at the base of an apple tree at the farm where she raised her family.

She didn't want anyone to be wearing black, so she instructed that we have t-shirst embroidered with 'sophies trophies' to where. Several strangers stopped to ask us where the trophy store or convention was, and altough they may have been taken back by my explanation, I think we may have spread this tradition into a few new families.

And, as Grammie Sophie wished, we made sure to have fun too.
