Merry Christmas

I got nellie a new hat with a chin strap which she tolerated but as you can see, I think it hurt her feelings! :(
The new burgess family tradition of christmas eve scrabbe started this year. Ryan really cleaned up both games but Em got the highest scores.
John and I in our new christmas PJ's (thank you santa)
Mom and Dad on Christmas Eve.....

wow, well it is hard to know where to begin. So, i guess I will begin by saying thank you! We had such a wonderful holiday, beginning with the solstice party, then the dickens party, bill & cindi's party, christmas at home, christmas at the burgess farm and christmas in benedicata. It was all wonderful. Here are a few pictures from our holiday gatherings....

Welcoming winter

A few pictures of the fire from the 1st annual winter solstice party at the burgess farm. A relaxing evening with family and friends - a great way to kick off the holidays! It was a beautiful night and it was very comfortable by the fire. John had the snowmobile out, there was a late night walk, lots of goodies and beverage, visiting inside and outside by the fire.

Cranberry Island Windmill

Here are a few pictures of the windmill John installed on Cranberry Island. a LOT of planning went into erecting the windmill in just 2 days, and John did a great job pulling it off!

Old Town House Set - 1st full 2-story

We set our first colonial on Thursday! It snowed like crazy all day but the set went really well despite the weather challenge. It will look much nicer with a finished roof and siding!!!

Etna House Set

We set a home in Etna last night. Not exactly ideal conditions but our crew was amazing and pulled through with another beautiful set.

Shed Happens

ok, I couldn't resist the corny title, in honor of Doug. Anyway, this is our new shed at Evolo. It will be home to a future lawn mower, various gardening implements, maybe a snow blower, and probably Nellie :)

Newport House gets set

After being rescheudled last week because of the snow storm we were able to set this home in Newport yesterday afternoon/evening. It was a nice day but felt cold once the sun went down!

Saturday at Burgess Tree Farm

So, this is the busiest weekend at Burgess Tree Farm and it was a beautiful and busy day. Em, Ryan, John and I held down the tree front while Mom and Dad went to the burgess family christmas party in MA. As you can see from the picture of John (& Nellie), we were all pretty beat by the time the day was over!

Christmas Tree 2007

What a BEAUTIFUL Burgess Tree Farm Balsam Fir. We decided to go with a more managable christmas tree this year so that we did not have to remove a couch from the living room in order to make the tree fit. Plus, we actually have almost enough ornaments to decorate the more reasonable size tree..... The Holidays are HERE!

First snow storm

Nellie and Kate
We thought it would be fun to have a Nellie christmas card with a santa hat, but, predictably, she wanted nothing to do with it.
John plowing with our 'new' plow. I think we got a foot or so of snow here yesterday and last night.
Nellie LOVES the snow! She played and played and played in it yesterday.
