Puppy Love

Introducing Griffin! He is just over 8 weeks old and is a landseer newfoundland, brown and white.
Here he is from the back, mostly white but does have some brown spots and freckles. His head and back side are brown.

Lizzie meets Griffin

Griffin likes lizzie! Following her around, lizzie is not sure what to make of that!

Lizzie going home, Griffin wants to go to!

wish we didn't have to say goodbye

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our Nellie. She was a great dog, a gentle soul, a faithful companion, the best greeter, noticer of all things out of place, and a never ending source of joy. She was our first 'baby', she made us a family, and we will hold her in our heart forever.

mooselookmeguntik - the fishing

I am no fisher person, but all signs point to fantastic fishing on our camping trip. John & Will had quiet the competition, netting more than 30 fish between the two of them! It was all catch and release, trout was the prize, and bass or sunfish might cost you points (these two had quiet the game going). Anyway, here are a few of the catches:

mooselookmeguntik - the camping

This year we embarked on our 4th annual camping trip on Mooselookmeguntik with friends Will & Kristen. We had beautiful weather, great food, good rest, delightful company, a gaze worthy fire, amazing fishing (fish post to come) and even went for a quick swim!

gotta love the camp fire

catching some rays
coffee and reading provisions- heaven

Kristen does a little food prep. This years menu included swordfish, corn, potatoes, homemade meatballs, cheesecake, smores and more! Do we know how to camp or what?!?!

So, we had some trouble with our air mattress so we 'put a cork in it' - ha! And... it worked!
