Visit with Dan

This past weekend I went to boston to visit Dan! It was way over due and so much fun I can't wait to do it again! We crammed a lot into our 36 hours together! We shopped, ate, shopped some more, walked and even had time to get AND hang those new curtains in dans room. Thanks for a great weekend Dan!!!

Sebec house gets set

We set a home in Sebec today. The set went great!

weekend photos

Here are a few pictures from the weekend. We moved the pig pen and the pigs were in pig heaven. Tom and Char visted and participated in the pig excitement. Friends were around to help move a piano and brought their dog 'Teddy' - a photo of Teddy & Nellie

New House Open

A few pictures of our new model home which opened this weekend....

Spring

Nellie is clinging onto any and all available snow banks. She will miss them this summer, though I am sure she will really enjoy swimming this year! Notice her tail in the mudpuddle, it makes for a very neat house this time of year - NOT!!!!

John getting ready to start a bonfire....

Chives coming up!

Penguin or Newfoundland????

The ice is really melting on the lake and nellie is not afraid of exploring it this spring. This 'iceberg' won't hold her up for long though!

Model Home Progress

Here are some recent photos of our new model home which is on schedule to be open next week. We are finishing up some punch list stuff, cleaning and decorating now... John used permacrete (a new product we are carrying) to cover the OSB skirt.

Picnic table makes a comeback

So, it is April 10th, and the snow is really starting to go away (finally!) though a little slower at camp than most other places. So, while my folks are enjoying al fresco dining on their porch, that would be a rather intersting experience at camp. Though, I am encouraged because the entire top of the picnic table is now visible - spring must be here! yay!

Meet Tina & Wilimina

The latest additions to the Burgess farm are two lovely (but REALLY stinky) pigs, named Tina (the little one) and Wilimina. John and I picked them up yesterday at a farm in Garland. This really seems to be Dad and John's project and we intend to eat them. If one can get over the smell, they might be fun to have around (Nellie thinks so)!
